Boarding Your Pet

You’ve got your passport ready, hotel booked, and plane reservations. Now, there’s just one thing left to do: find a kennel where your dog can have a vacation of their own while you’re away.

Choosing a trustworthy kennel is a multi-faceted process. It’s more than typing “dog boarding near me” and seeing what comes up. You’ll need to consider many factors to make a well-informed decision, on top of your dog’s temperament and the kennel’s reputation.

For example, a reputable, professional organization would have no problem letting you visit the dog runs, ask questions, and meet the employees. They should have nothing to hide.  Also, be wary of kennels that don’t require immunization records.  Pets should be up to date on vaccinations against life-threatening communicable diseases, such as parvovirus, rabies, and distemper — among other illnesses.

How does the kennel accommodate dogs with health conditions? Are they trained to give medications? Is there a veterinarian on staff? If not, what is their procedure in case of an emergency?

Boarding at AMC

Here at Animal Medical Clinic we offer both full-service veterinary care and boarding accommodations. Our boarding facility is clean and cheery and is staffed by caring attendants who will love your pet. If your pet becomes ill while boarding, the doctors on duty will be notified to examine your pet immediately. You will also be notified to give permission for any non-emergency treatment.

We provide plenty of toys, blankets and bowls here for your pet’s comfort. We prefer not to take any personal belongings in our boarding facility, so we ask if you can keep personal items at home for them to enjoy upon their return.

All of the accommodations at Animal Medical Clinic are indoor, spacious, sparkling clean and fully climate controlled.

See the Boarding Page on our website for more information about our services, and call us to make your reservation.
